Preschool (3's and 4's)

Preschoolers love to inspect, handle, and investigate! Our Preschool Program is designed to encourage children's learning through play and manipulation. Much learning takes place as children interact with their environment, through concrete experiences, combined with peer and adult communication.

The many kinds of constructive play we make available to your child are: dramatics, language arts, building, arts and crafts, math manipulatives, science, and social studies. Our various centers are designed to encourage play and learning in these areas, as well as to foster children's social growth and well being.

An important goal of our program is helping children develop communication, problem solving, and cooperative skills. Again, through play and various planned activities, children will develop and refine these skills. As teachers, we feel that a child's social and emotional development is crucial to learning and growth. We strive to achieve these goals by providing lots of warmth and attention, reinforcing positive behaviors, providing a safe, fun, challenging, and creative environment that children will respond to with excitement and curiosity, and encouraging children to become increasingly independent in their play and activities.
